Shipping policy
1. Overview
This policy explains how LHS Site Supplies ("LHS", "we", "us") ships and delivers orders, including where we deliver, how long it takes, what it costs and what to do if something goes wrong. It applies to all orders placed with us, whether online, by phone, by email or by quotation.
We supply personal protective equipment (PPE) and site safety products, primarily to businesses, and we can deliver anything from a single item to a full-site kit-out. If you have a large or recurring requirement, contact us and we will arrange delivery to suit your site and schedule.
Any delivery dates or timeframes in this policy are estimates. We will always do our best to meet them but cannot guarantee them unless agreed with you in writing.
2. Where we deliver
We deliver across the United Kingdom, including:
- UK mainland
- Scottish Highlands and Islands
- Northern Ireland
- Isle of Man, Channel Islands and other offshore areas.
Deliveries to the Highlands and Islands, Northern Ireland and offshore areas may take longer and may carry a surcharge. Any surcharge is confirmed by email before you order.
For deliveries outside the UK, please contact us at michael@lhssitesupplies.co.uk for a shipping quote and lead time before ordering.
3. Delivery services and costs
We tailor delivery to each order rather than charging a fixed rate, because orders range from a single item to a full-site kit-out. The delivery cost and the best service for your order are confirmed by email before you commit, so you always know the price in advance.
The options we typically arrange are:
- Standard delivery, around 2 to 4 working days
- Next working day, where the order is placed before 2pm and stock allows
- Highlands, Islands and Northern Ireland, usually 3 to 5 working days
- Pallet and bulk delivery for larger orders and full-site kit-outs.
To get a delivery cost, email your order or requirement to michael@lhssitesupplies.co.uk and we will confirm the price and timeframe. Delivery charges exclude VAT unless stated, and VAT is applied where applicable.
4. Order processing and cut-off times
Orders are processed on working days, which are Monday to Friday excluding public holidays. In-stock orders placed before 2pm are typically dispatched the same working day. Orders placed after the cut-off, at weekends or on public holidays are processed on the next working day.
During busy periods, and for large or multi-item orders, processing may take slightly longer. If there is likely to be a delay, we will contact you.
5. Branded and made-to-order items
Printed, embroidered or badged workwear, and any item made or sourced to order, carries a separate lead time because it is produced specifically for you. Typical lead times are 7 to 10 working days from artwork approval, though this can vary with order size and complexity.
We will confirm the lead time before your order is put into production. Please note these items follow the made-to-order terms in our Returns and Refunds Policy.
6. Bulk, pallet and site deliveries
For larger orders and full-site kit-outs, we arrange pallet or dedicated delivery and will agree a delivery window with you in advance. Where a delivery needs particular access arrangements, a booking-in slot, or delivery to a specific site contact, let us know when you order so we can plan it in.
Please make sure someone is available to receive and check pallet deliveries, as these usually require a signature and cannot be left unattended.
7. Tracking your order
Where the delivery service provides tracking, we will send tracking details by email once your order is dispatched. If you have not received dispatch confirmation within 3 working days of ordering an in-stock item, contact us at michael@lhssitesupplies.co.uk and we will check on it for you.
8. Receiving and checking your order
Please check your order as soon as it arrives. If anything is damaged, missing or incorrect, tell us within 7 days of delivery at michael@lhssitesupplies.co.uk so we can put it right. Where possible, note any visible damage with the carrier at the point of delivery and keep the packaging, as this helps us resolve claims quickly.
Reporting damage or shortages promptly protects your ability to claim. For faulty or incorrect goods, please see our Returns and Refunds Policy.
9. Missed and failed deliveries
If a delivery is attempted and cannot be completed, the carrier will usually leave a card or contact you to rearrange. If an order is returned to us because it could not be delivered, or because it was unclaimed, we will contact you to arrange redelivery. A further delivery charge may apply for redelivery caused by an incorrect address or repeated failed attempts.
10. Incorrect delivery details
Please check your delivery address and contact details carefully before confirming your order. We cannot be responsible for delays or non-delivery caused by incorrect or incomplete information. If you spot a mistake, contact us immediately and we will amend it if the order has not yet been dispatched.
11. Part-shipments and backorders
If part of your order is temporarily out of stock, we may either hold the order until it is complete or send it in parts, whichever gets your essential items to you sooner. We will let you know if this affects your order and you will not be charged extra delivery for a part-shipment we choose to make.
12. Delays outside our control
Occasionally, delivery may be affected by events outside our reasonable control, such as severe weather, carrier disruption, supplier delays or other circumstances beyond our control. Where this happens, we will contact you as soon as we can and work with you to get your order to you as quickly as possible. We are not liable for delays caused by such events.
13. Risk and ownership
Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery. Ownership of the goods passes to you once we have received payment in full. Until then, the goods remain our property.
